Elliot Leigh TLC Shortlisted as Best Supported Housing Landlord

Elliot Leigh TLC has been announced as a finalist for The Affordable Housing Awards 2023 in the category of Best Supported Housing Landlord.

The awards, an evolution of the most comprehensive awards platform in the housing sector – the UK Housing Awards – are about identifying the social landlords, charities and partners, who work with their communities to deliver great outcomes for tenants and residents. Judged by tenants and experts from individual fields, these awards are designed not just to celebrate success, but to help other landlords learn from it and replicate it.

Commenting on their service and this achievement so far, Leigh Young, Managing Director of Elliot Leigh TLC, said:

“Many of the young people we meet have led chaotic lives so they need guidance and stability. We are so much more than just a room - our mission is to provide the right accommodation, guidance and security to ensure a successful path to a young person's development and provide opportunity which they otherwise would not have access to.

We understand the responsibility that comes with providing supported accommodation, we have a responsibility for that person’s welfare for the entire time they are placed with us and we take that very seriously. We are driven by the results, which are seeing young people thrive and move on to a live independently with a life which has hope and prospects.

We are thrilled to have been shortlisted to this point because it is recognition of the positive difference we are making to the lives of young people, and future generations.”

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, hosted by British television presenter June Sarpong OBE, on the afternoon of Friday 17 November at The Point, Manchester.
